Taking part in the league means accepting these conditions. They are written so there are no surprises, not to fill a page.
The Ironvale Hobbies & Gaming is an amateur competition organised between players, with the collaboration of The Anvil Room. It is not a company or an official Games Workshop event.
You need a Discord account to take part. You are responsible for what is done from your account.
Player and organiser links are private: whoever has one can act in your name. Do not share them. If one leaks, tell us and we will revoke it.
One person, one account. One account per season and per league.
The sporting rules — format, deadlines, table, byes, what happens if you do not play — are in the rulebook and are part of these terms.
The organisers can adjust the rulebook between seasons. Changes are announced on Discord and do not apply retroactively to a season already under way.
It is played to have a good time. Harassment, insults, discrimination and cheating are not tolerated: lists that do not match what was declared, false results or duplicate accounts.
The organisers can warn, void a game or expel from the league whoever deserves it. In serious cases expulsion is without a refund of the sign-up fee.
Some seasons have a sign-up fee. That money goes entirely into that season's prize pool.
The fee is not refunded once the first round has been drawn, because you dropping out affects everyone else's pairings. If you drop out before the draw, it is.
If a season is cancelled for a reason of ours, what was paid is refunded.
Each game's thread is the evidence of what was arranged. The organisers settle based on that and their decision is final within the league.
You play the games, where and when you agree. The organisers are not responsible for what happens during a game, or for damage to or loss of models.
